Disadvantage of kapalbhati

Kapalbhati comes under hathyog part of Yoga. Hathyog is formed two words "Hath" and "yog", where Hath means something which is done forcefully, so the whole word means yog which is done forcefully. This is done in the proper supervision of a trainer rather it will have a bad impact on our health.

During practising this we should follow the rules which we follow during yoga like:-
1.Sit on a yoga mat on a flat surface
2.Sit in a place where you can find fresh air
3. It is advisable to practise without having food.
4. If you have some proble avoid this Pranayam.

Most important:-
1.Tho who are suffering from  artificial pacemaker or stent, epilepsy, hernia, backache due to slip disc, or have recently undergone abdominal surgery, please avoid this.
2.Those women are not advisable to practise Skull Shining Breathing technique during and after the pregnancy and also during menstruation which involves vigorous abdominal squeezes.
3.Those people who are suffering from hypertension and heart problems need to practise this technique only under the supervision of yoga experts.

Practising Yoga helps us develop our body and mind, but we it is not a substitute for medicine. It is neceeeary to learn and practise yoga under the supervision of a Yoga expert. In case of any medical condition, we should practise yoga only after consultation of a yoga doctor and teacher
